Rye (& Camber) Golf Links C.Ea 1900s no publisher name on the card so possibly the work of a local photographer, there is a Tee in the foreground & a Building I believe to be the early Club House in the distance if you look at the Club website you can see a later extended version of what appears to be this building. Founded in 1884 the Club quickly became regarded as one of the best Links in the South of England, if fact by 1900 they had 250 members, among them a Prime Minister, a Cabinet Minister, eminent Judges  & leading advocates. In 1899 the Oxford & Cambridge Golfing Society accepted an invitation to play their Home Matches at Rye. The Golf Writer Bernard Darwin became Captain in 1906, & The Oxford & Cambridge Golfing Society still have a connection with Rye to this day. The card is in Near Mint unposted condition.                                                                       Ref.2571
