Oxhey Golf Course C.1930. The 3rd Green, no publisher name on this card. The Club opened on the 4th of May 1912 with a Match between Ted Ray, the Club Professional & the Great Harry Vardon already a multiple Open winner & the designer of Oxhey, Ray beat Vardon by a margin of 4 & 2 which showed he was the man in form as six weeks later Ray led the British Open from wire to wire beating none other than defending Champion Harry Vardon into 2nd place. Oxhey ceased to operate just after WW2 & closed in October 1946, a Club named Oxhey Park re-established the name in the early 1990s. I do not know if this is related to the original Club or not. This card is in MINT unused condition & I have others that survived from this set listed.                                                     Ref.1964
