Ipswich Golf Links & Club House C.1910-14 The Club's Original site. A RARE colour tone Postcard published by Smiths, in their Suitall series, printed in Berlin. This card is of the Original Rushmere Heath course, the Club's original ground at the time of foundation, it remained in this location until 1925 when it moved to a new ground at Purdis Heath, along with a new course designed by non-other than James Braid, the Club is still in this location today. This seems to be the only early Golf postcard that you see, which makes sense when it only remained a relatively short time at the original ground. The card is in Near MINT   unposted condition & is the colour variant, there is a little age discolouration to the reverse. The is the Black & White variant of this postcard & more common than the other, which is a colour tone card & much less common, I also have the colour tone card listed. A great card for any collection. Due to a recent acquisition of an identical card to this one,I have been able to split the price with the other card listed & reduce it by £2.                                Ref.2467
