North Surrey Golf Club began life as Balham Golf Club in 1895 on Mitcham Road Streatham, one year on it had changed its name to North Surrey Golf Club, so this card dates after the name change & it is the only card I have seen with the Club's full Title, most other cards just have Norbury Golf Pavilion as a Title. This card is in absolute mint, unposted condition & was published by B.Bros. Co. card No.6413, I have 4/5 other  North Surrey cards listed & all have Norbury Golf Pavilion written on them, which, I assume would have been the local area. A year later it was reported that the Club planned to run a second Club which was to be constructed near Norbury Station, the work took 6 months & the Club opened for play on the second of October 1897 & this is where things get confusing, it would appear that the exact same image is being used to promote both courses?.  have added a Norbury card scan & as you will see they are the same course but with slightly different names.                                                                                      Ref.2287a
