Lanark Golf Club House & 18th green C.pre 1909 Lanark was founded in 1851 making it the 25th oldest Club in the World, the original 6 hole course was laid out on Common Moor, the owned by the Royal Burgh of Lanark, in 1897 Tom Morris was engaged to lay out a new 18 hole course, twenty years later James Braid was employed to create several new holes, which apart from longer tees & modern bunkering remains largely unchanged today. The card, which is in MINT unposted condition, was published by The Photochrom Co., Ltd., Graphic Studios, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.  No.V7528. Tunbridge Wells received the Royal  Patronage in 1909 but the publishers address on the back of the just says Tunbridge Wells which makes this card pre-1909 as it Remains Royal Tunbridge Wells to this day.  A great card at a great price.             Ref.2163a
