Published by Valentine in their Scottish Studies series of around 6 cards, dating C.1903-5.All cards from this series feature 1891 "Open" Champion Hugh Kirkcaldy, brother of St Andrews Professional AndraKirkcaldy, he Won the "Open" in 1891 at St Andrews, aged 22, eating his brother Andra & Willie Fernie of Troon by 2 shots, six years later aged 28, he sadly died of phthisis Pulmonalis or Tuberculosis, his open Victory was the last Open played over 36 holes. The image shows Kirkcaldy Driving from a Tee, with his party looking on, the card is in Very Good++, collectable condition. I already have 2 others from the Set listed.
