Fairfield Golf Links, Buxton C.Ea 1900s.  A rare Golfing Postcard Published in The Shaw Series. In the early part of the 20th century, Golf Club often adopted the name of the immediate area they were formed in, this card dates from well over 100 years ago & over time Clubs often changed their names, which I believe is the case with this Club, Fairfield that was, now known as Buxton & High Peak Golf Club, the Clu History does not give any information regarding this but I caddied here as a boy & remember the course, well situated in the Peak District of Derbyshire. Note the Horse & Cart and Pram. The card is in Very Good + Condition with good corners. An EXTREMELY RARE card.                                          Ref.756
