Blackpool North Shore Golf Club House C.1909 was on the flight path of the various mono & biplanes taking part in the 1st ever Aviation Meeting to take place in England, Blackpool Airfield was & still is at South Shore, next to the 6th Fairway of St.Annes Old Links, where they would take off from & head virtually straight North a short distance, passing North Shore Golf Club on their right-hand side, the Club was founded in 1904 & the Club House is visible just below the biplane which is flying over the Links. This was quite an important meeting with many International flyers taking part, the 2nd card shows a single plane also flying the same northerly path parallel to the road along the Beach. The plane is piloted by Alberto Santos-Dumont, a Brazillian Aviation Pioneer. Glen Hammond Curtiss, an American aviation & motorcycling pioneer is flying the biplane past the Golf House. I have other cards from this event listed which also show the Golf Club House, but different planes. Both cards are in Very Good + condition, one posted to Paris, the other unposted.                                                                                                                                         Ref.2492 & 2493
