Barham Downs Golf Club was founded in 1890 by the Club Captain J.G. Tattersall of Charlton Park, near Canterbury, Kent. The Club appears to prosper until the outbreak of WW1 after which it completely disappeared. Harry Vardon played a 36 hole  Exhibition match against two Very Good local  Amateurs Mr A.C.Edwards & Dr  A T Morris & although I do not know who won the Match, Vardon scored 68 & 70 for his 2 rounds, this was noted on the reverse of the card when I bought it. A pre-1910 postcard produced by Francis Frith & Co, Reigate, although their name is not on the card. For further information about this Club go to golfsmissinglinks website.  I have 2 identical cards listed with a choice of price.                 Ref.2703
