Aberdovey Golf Links & "Cader Crater" C.1930s. A card in absolute MINT unposted condition, published by J.Salmon., Ltd., Sevenoaks. "Cader Crater" was an infamous Bunker on the 170 yard uphill Par 3 5th Hole, this was a natural sand hazard with a line of Railway Sleepers at the farthest point of the Bunker, all this had to be carried by the players in order to reach the Putting Green set in a shallow hollow beyond, a particularly difficult hole for Ladies as you can imagine. The Aberdovey Links were a favourite haunt of Golf Writer & Times Journalist, Bernard Darwin, grandson of Charles Darwin. I have 2 of these cards currently listed & also
have the earlier Wrench cards of the Same Bunker listed. Ref.1482
